Unmissable Le Rouret
Our guide to the local secret gems...
Towns & Villages
LE ROURET
With a vibrant community and a beautiful 18th century church dedicated to Saint Pons. In front of the
Town Hall, the shady town square is used for pétanque, salles de fêtes or as a market place.
One of the joys of holidaying in France, is wandering around the many little villages, each with their
own characters. If you feel like getting out of Le Rouret, there are many other beautiful villages,
towns & cities to explore.
CHATEAU NEUF DE GRASSE
A very pretty village with a market on Monday mornings.
VALBONNE
Another very pretty village which has an excellent market on Friday mornings. There are lots of
lovely little shops here and some good restaurants. In the centre is Place des Arcades with lots of
shops and restaurants and a vibrant atmosphere.
GRASSE
Grasse is regarded as the perfume capital of the world. Make your own fragrance in one of the
perfumeries and go back in time 300 years following the history of perfume. This is a really sweet
old town with nice shops.
PLASCASSIER
This village was home to Edith Piaf, and she died here in 1963. There is a fabulous smell of jasmine
in the air, with six local growers supplying the Grasse perfumery. The garage near the roundabout
reportedly sells fantastic wines.
